The "Megiddo Church"

A recent archeological find in Megiddo, Israel, appears to incorporate christian inscriptions and floor mosaics (fish). There appears to be a range of opinion on the dating of the christian components, some advocating a date in the third century, while others (including the project leader, Tepper) are more cautious, and admit a fourth century date.

There are a number of excellent sites on the web at the moment related to the archeological diggings, and showing plenty of pictures of the site, of the mosaics, of the inscriptions. Relevant archeological reports are also interesting, but are unable, at present, to provide unambiguous evidence to refute the theory that Constantine invented christianity in the fourth century.
