The Vedas and Modern Science |

What kind of aborigines would, more than 5000 years [See Editorial Note] ago, formulate divisions of time ranging from 1/10,000th of a second to the total universal life span, based on the movement of atoms? (Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.11.1-12)
What kind of aborigines would give accurate descriptions of all the planets in our solar system, many of which "modern science" only discovered recently? What to speak of the many other planets in this universe they describe which are unknown to "modern science." (Srimad-Bhagavatam, Surya-siddhanta, all Maha-Puranas)
What kind of aborigines would be able to sum up and categorize all existing species of life throughout the universe according to the development of consciousness, including 400,000 human species? (Padma Purana)
How is it, that the Vedic scriptures (the so-called product of an aboriginal society) contain systematic and highly advanced information about topics such as:
The Manu-samhita deals with all aspects of law and order. In Vedic times one emperor ruled the whole world. All continents were known and regular trade and exchanges took place. (Mahabharata, Srimad-Bhagavatam, various Puranas)
The stone carving art speaks for itself. Descriptions from the Puranas reveal an interior opulence unobtainable to the average modern man, with furniture of precious metals and gemstones, and indoor swimming pools. Accounts of the reality of this can be found in the writings of the Moguls and other muslim invaders (1100-1500 AD), and the travel diary of India traveller Tavernier (1700 AD) -- who brought the Hope and Koh-i-noor diamonds to Europe).
Battles were only fought during daytime. Besides that the skills and weapons of the Vedic soldiers were much more powerful and enhanced than at present. Extremely accurate nuclear weapons were known and used (Mahabharata, Srimad-Bhagavatam), as well as a variety of other weapons based on sound, air turbulence, and water. Most of the advanced weapons were controlled and directed by subtle sound vibrations. The Dhanur-veda part of the Vedic scriptures dealt with warfare.
Besides these, the Vedic literatures deal with many other subject matters, including spiritual topics, economic development, sense enjoyment, and psychology.
If Krishna and the Vedic culture are merely the products of some hindu imagination, then how come that a person like Oppenheimer honored them so much by studying the Bhagavad-gita? How come that the Vedic literature -- especially the Bhagavad-gita -- was studied and praised by personalities like Einstein, Schopenhauer, Kant, Hegel, Emerson, Thoreau, Schweizer, and many other scientists and scholars much more important than any of the persons frequenting this group? How come that most of the most influential scientists *aren't* atheists? What is your authority? Are you above God?
Do you really think that these respected and learned gentlemen were all fools that had nothing better to do than wasting their precious time on reading the scriptures of some uncivilized aborigines?
Or could it be that the Vedic scriptures indeed constitute knowledge given to us by the Supreme Lord Himself at the beginning of this material creation, and carefully handed down through a Vedic tradition of masters and disciples, all of which you know nothing of?
You want to prove the existence of God and religion to be fake, but cheating can only be understood in relation to its original. That is were you fail. You do not know anything about the original.
As an atheist you would be more credible if you would set aside some time to sincerely study that which you oppose. You do not know what you oppose. First study the Vedic scripture on their own authority, and not in terms of your prejudice, which is merely a result of your faith in limited and imperfect speculations and experiments (theories based on theories based on theories, add infinitum...).
