What is the Aboriginal Support Group:
Manly - Warringah - Pittwater?

The Aboriginal Support Group is a community of people
who are committed to supporting Aboriginal people,
and the struggle for justice.

The Group meets regularly to discuss issues, causes and events;
to plan actions; to share friendship and experiences.
Work is shared by trusted volunteers.

Activities include :

• Occasional Aboriginal speakers, films and videos.
  
• Sharing information on current issues, lobbyig politicians and monitoring the media.
  
• Keeping the group and the wider community informed.
  
• Producing a quarterly newsletter "Elimatta", which is circulated in Australia and overseas.
  
• Producing programs for Radio Northern Beaches.
  
• Maintaining supporting relations with Aboriginal organisations and with Koori friends.
  
• Networking with other social justice movements, especially those concerned about Aboriginal justice.

Newsletter ...

The name of the Newsletter - "Elimatta" - means 'our home'
in one Aboriginal language. The name thus expresses the dream of the
ASGMWP for this country to become a real 'home' to both Aboriginal and
non-Aboriginal people. That depends on us being 'at home' with one another.
