Introduction to this Index

On Fri, 12 January 1996, the following article was posted by Ross Tessien to the sci.physics newsgroup:

In the months after this post, Ross Tessien has generated a fair amount of interesting posts and articles concerning the nature of the aether - a subject which is rediculed and derided by the large majority of contemporary traditional physical scientists. In the following sections of this web publication I have gathered together and indexed some of these articles, so that further exposure to Ross's ideas and understandings may be circulated, developed and researched. In the concluding section of this index, Ross has provided me with some very rough drafts concerning his views on the construction of space and time.

Note that Ross will appreciate and welcome any and all constructive commentary in relation to these - his ideas and developing theory - concerning the nature which surrounds us in the cosmos.

Index of Usenet Posts - 1996, 1997 ...

The following articles are posts taken off UseNet in the sci.physics newsgroup. As such, it should be kept in mind that they may well be replies to threads which are not also herein preserved and, as such, their context is not available. While this may not be the best way to present Ross's ideas, I have retained them out of interest, in the expectation that they may provide useful insight for other researchers in this field:

Editorial Commentary

It is my own personal opinion that these preliminary works will one day form the basis for a revolutionary new way of looking at the dynamic substance of space, matter and light. However my personal view may not concern you.

You are about to review a totally new conceptual description relating to an exceedingly ancient concept called the aether. Preconceived notions concerning the dynamic structure of the nature of the cosmos should be set aside. One of these preconceived notions is that the aether - whatever it was then postulated to be - was conclusively demonstrated by the famous Michaeleson-Morley Experiment not to exist.

As Ross has mentioned (above), I find accord with these ideas due to their dynamic wavelike natures. After gaining a scholarship, I spent two years at University back in the early '70's studying the disciplines of physics and mathematics (pure/stats/applied - hon) and failed to perceive the ultimate directions to be forthcoming from the traditional approaches to the understanding of nature.

It was largely for this reason that I dropped out to become a full-time surfer on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia where I lived just north of Crescent Head and for a year contemplated the study of nature in the relative solitude of the bush and the surf.

Sometimes I consider that I learned more in this third year OUTSIDE university than I did did within its confines, but this may be contentious. One thing I can say is that I never ceased to contemplate the nature of nature about me in the world. The nature of waves is often described in mathematical terms which are as complex as they are theoretical and ideal, but there is really no substitute for the observance of the nature of waves which naturally occur within our terrestrial environment - and by this I refer to the nature of oceanic swell and the surf of the coastal regions.

Today, 24 years later, I am an Information Technology professional - and still surf. I have spent much time contemplating the nature of the world, and find that the threads of information which are being now presented by Ross are in accord with the views which I have developed.

All in all, each of us has to individually contemplate the matter of nature and the nature of matter. One may certainly treat the subject with an open and closed book approach. However I for one would be wary of inertial dogma and doctrine, for although it has the capacity to create, it also has the capacity to destroy the natural and creative talents of the soul. Scientific "facts" are not immutable, for they are subject to the process of evolution as the history of science has shown.

May the Age of Information Dawn Within,
And your feet find their way to Journey's End.

Peace.
